Well I have wanted to hobble break Maddie for sometime now. Well now I don’t have an excuse for not getting it done. I made this set of soft cotton hobbles from a 3 strand cotton lead rope. I cut it in two figured out how much in needed for the button loop and untwisted the rest. I did a 6 strand flat braid and crowned and walled for a button. Seems like they should work for what I wanted.

Well I tried these out last night and they worked good and my mare didn’t seem to have any trouble with being hobbled. She did try to walk a little and nearly fell but she didn’t get upset or frantic at all. She just stood up and tried to take smaller steps. š
